Do you know that there are plenty of things that you can do as a single but which committed individuals can not? Let me show you how to enjoy being single.
Did I hear you say you are single and unhappy? Well, it is high time you changed the unhappy to being happy. It’s time to enjoy your status as single and feel proud of it. Although the bible says ‘It’s not good for a man to be alone’, but while you await your better half, there are a lot of advantages you enjoy as a single in wait.
More time to spend with friends and family.

Being into a relationship takes a lot of your time and commitment. It becomes very hard at times, to put up with the pressure of spending quality time with your family, friends and your lover. This is a problem that all your committed friends will experience. Aren’t you glad to be single?

Being single is more economical.

Going out for dates and getting your loved one gifts is expensive. As if birthdays and anniversaries weren’t enough, now we have occasions such as Valentines day to dig this huge irreparable hole into your pockets. When you are single, your expenses are so much lesser. You can now afford to spend on no one but yourself and anyone you are just willing to share happy moments with…not the FORCEFUL obligation you owe your lover.
Being single means more freedom.

Being single,you are not answerable to anyone. You don’t have to please anybody but yourself. You don’t have to make silly excuses to watch a football match/fashion channel or to spend an evening gossiping with your friends. You can do all that you want to do, without having to ask the opinion of your partner.
Singles get more opportunities.

Now a lot of us may tackle me hard on this, but we are trying to face some glaring realities here. There are plenty of fishes in the sea, so why get stuck with just one. The fact that you are single, gives you the chance of fishing for greater opportunities. Please take note, I didn’t say you have to taste them all, I only said it gives you options to choose from till you are completely ready to stay committed to the BEST ONE.
Singles get more space.

You can breathe in peace. Sometimes it feels great to spend time with yourself. It helps you to ponder over your life and think better. When you are in a relationship, this is not always possible.
Singles do not suffer heart-breaks.

Since you are not in love with anyone, there is obviously no risk of facing a painful heartbreak. Lol.
Singles can concentrate on their career.

When you are single, you can completely focus on your career with no one to distract you. The result being, you have a greater chance of being more successful in a few years down the lane. This is not to say being in a relationship stops you from being successful, but being single helps you focus better.
Singles carry no emotional baggage.

As a single person, you don’t have anyone throwing emotional tantrums on you that wear you down. You can do what you want to do and nobody gets hurt emotionally.
Singles don’t have to make compromises.

Whether it is to tolerate your boyfriend’s snoring or carrying your girlfriend’s shopping bags; you don’t have to go through any of it. You are single and very much have the freedom to accept what is pleasing and reject something that is not.
Singles have spontaneity.

You can afford to be spontaneous. You can make and reject plans at the last minute without having to worry about someone getting angry with you. You are the sole ruler of your life. You judgment is the final verdict in your life.
Errm… I surely have stepped on toes. Forgive me, but I’m only helping you see the lighter part of being single and DESPERATELY trying to get out of it. Keep calm, enjoy the moment, take your time to find a good partner for you (with the help of God o’course) and you will enjoy a good, long lasting relationship; instead of jumping from one partner to the other in the name of ‘I can’t bear being single’
